Super Drift 3D - The Rules

Super Drift 3D is a 3D racing game built around drifting. Choose a course and a car, then race a computer driver to the finish line in Arcade mode, or race the clock on your own in Time Trials.

There are three courses: Cherry Mountain (beginner) and Coastal City (intermediate) are raced over one lap, Neon Good Times (expert) over two. Drive under every checkpoint banner in turn: a lap only counts once you have passed them all and crossed the goal.

Drifting is the fastest way through the corners. In easy mode you start a drift by holding Shift while you accelerate and steer; in expert mode you lift off the accelerator for a moment, then steer hard and step on the gas. Steer the other way to hold the drift, and tap twice quickly in the opposite direction to swing the car into a drift the other way. Long, fast drifts are rewarded with a “great drift” or an “amazing drift” - and, in the AE86, with a burst of speed.

Win in Arcade mode or finish a time trial and you can put your name on the scoreboard, which keeps the ten best times of every course on this device. Winning the Neon Good Times race unlocks the Ferrari Testarossa. After every race you can watch the replay.

Super Drift 3D - How to Play

Use the Up and Down arrows (or W and S) to accelerate and brake, Left and Right (or A and D) to steer, and Shift to drift in easy mode. C changes the camera, the space bar puts the car back on the track, P pauses the race and 1 restarts it.

On a phone or a tablet, use the round buttons on the screen: the two arrows on the left steer and the curved arrow next to them drifts; on the right, the big arrow accelerates and the small one brakes. The race is played in landscape mode.

The Pause button above the game interrupts the race, the Sound button turns the music and the engine noise on or off, and the Fullscreen button gives the game the whole screen. During a race, the + and - keys change the music volume and the full stop key switches to the next song.
