Egg Chaser - The Rules

The purpose of the game is to catch as many eggs as possible with the basket. Four hen houses roll their eggs down a chute towards the middle of the board, and every egg you catch adds one point to your score.

An egg moves down one position at a time and then waits on the lip of its chute for one moment. Catch it there by having the basket under it. An egg still waiting when the next one moves is dropped: it costs you a life, the board is cleared and the eggs resume shortly after.

You start with 12 lives. They are shown as the row of eggs at the bottom of the board, and every egg you drop falls into that row and stays there as a broken shell, so you can always see how much room you still have left.

The eggs speed up as a round goes on. Catch 20 eggs without dropping any and you move up a level, which starts a little faster than the previous level did, but slower than the speed you had just reached. Dropping an egg never costs you points - it only sends you back to the starting speed of the current level.

Every 100 points is celebrated; later on the milestones move to every 200, then 500 and finally 1000 points. Every 500 points also earns you an extra life, up to a maximum of 12. Your best score is kept in this browser, so there is always a record waiting to be beaten.

Egg Chaser - How to Play

Use the arrow keys, or the W, A, S and D keys, to move the basket between its four positions.

On a phone or a tablet simply tap the quarter of the board you want the basket to jump to.

Press the space bar or the Pause button to interrupt the game, and use the Sound button if you prefer to play in silence. The Fullscreen button gives the board the whole screen.
